Hey LD! Nice entry on The New 1970s Lyric Quiz!Well thank you my friend! I have been on that thread before, but I have sucha hard time putting the melodies to the words when i see words on a page. But there was something about that lyric that stood out, and I got one right!! Woo hoo for me! "Say It Isn't So" - The Outfield "Just Breathe(Live)" - Pearl Jam One of my favorite lyrics ever: Yeah, I'm a lucky man To count on both hands the ones I love.... "Trust" - Megadeth "Sail On" - The Commodores |

Hello LD. Rain and storms here in the northern Central Valley of California, perhaps a little thunder/lightning, and even snow up the hill around 6000 feet, they say. Back to your normal summer heat in a day or two I'm sure. I'm out to do some bizness, and throw the discs (yep, they even fly far in the rain!). Hope everyone's day goes well whereever you are.

She Said, She Said- The Beatles Supposedly Peter Fonda was the inspiration to this song, during a LSD filled party, he apparently told John and George that he knew what it was like to be dead. |

My Little Town- Simon and Garfunkel This is one of the few songs that Paul and Artie recorded together after their first break-up. It appears on Simon's Still Crazy After All These Years and Garfunkel's Breakaway. It's a very bleak song lyrically, but an upbeat tempo and punchy chorus. "Nothing But The Dead and Dying Back In My Little Town" |

Hey jonny! Hope all is well. Are you liking the new gig?Hey ld. The new gig is great, but it's exhausting. I'm on a 6:27 train into the city to be in my building by 7:15. If I leave work by 5, it's a miracle and then back to the train and home. As for my health, my surgeon gave me the "Thumbs Up." He doesn't want to see again for 6 months and he lifted all the physical restrictions I have been living with for the last 6 months. He said that physical therapy would be a waste of time and money, since there are no exercises that they can do with me that I can't do by myself. I streth my neck muscles every morning and night to help increase range of motion (which is pretty limited right now). It's getting a little better every day though. How's life with you? Excited about the pending Kings Cup triumph? |

Hey ld. The new gig is great, but it's exhausting. I'm on a 6:27 train into the city to be in my building by 7:15. If I leave work by 5, it's a miracle and then back to the train and home.Man, the new gig sounds like a serious grind. Hope you're liking the work at least. What great news about your health. Sounds like it worked out about as well as it could have, given the circumstances. I am very grateful that you're ok. Life with me is so-so. I have to have double hernia surgery, and I'm scheduled to go in July 26. I didn't really notice the amount of discomfort I was in until I went to the doctor and acknowledged I had a problem, and not it seems like my whole body aches most of the time. The power of the subconscious mind, I guess. Looking forward to getting it done because I'm starting to get limited on the amount of physical activity I can partake in. Just cut me and get it over with already! And YES!!! I am SO excited about the Kings!!!! I am not nearly the Kings fan that by Brother and a bunch of my buddies are, so I am particularly happy that all of their longstanding suffering(exaggeration I know)will be over. Go Kings!!!! Hope you have a great day jonny. And a big HELLO to everyone else! "One Of Us" - Joan Osborne "Buddy Holly" - Weezer "Follow That Dream" - Elvis Presley "Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding(Live @ MSG)" - Elton John This version is from the Thanksgiving '73 show that is famous for John Lennon's guest appearance. |
