I like the changes (very few) that the Bruins have going in, good call giving Caron a chance, it might have been good to have Clarke around to step into Recchi's shoes but this give Bergeron a chance to step up.  I also like how they are going with 2 #1's give Thomas a chance to rest and recover and Rask to get confidence after riding the bench last year.  Good riddence and good luck to Karbele although he has a ring he did not contribute the way they had hoped.
Good luck Bruins and repeat!!!

Opening Day, whooot !  Well Bruins fans, having the Flyers coming in should be a doozy. We'll see how all the FA moves work out, line chemistry, the development of the young 'uns, and oh yeah - that banner raising ceremony.

Looking forward to another year, Go Bruins !

What's up Bruins Fans! Well here we are opening day but a very speacial opening day. The Banner will be flying tonight! Poor Philly they have to sit through this but they did a hell of a job with their team this year. I'm excited for this season I truly believe we can make a run for the next 3-5 years. I'm sure this message board will be buzzing with positive and negative comments all year long but in the end all we want is another Cup! Take care and Go Bruins!

Anyone know what the Bruins did with Knight and Spooner? They both played a few games with the P-Bruins at the end of last season so I don not think they can go back to Juniors. They are not on either roster.

Hey what's up guys?  Looking forward to the Bruins' push for a repeat Stanley Cup run.  Anyone go and see the banner rise in person?  Must have been electrifying.  Seguin and Marchand show their stuff early so far this season.  Will Raask get more ice time to give Thomas some rest?  (And I really wanted to show off my new avi....)  Tongue out

Go Bruins!!

Ice, Spooner and Knight are both back in the OHL. Knight- 5gp-4-3-7.  Spooner 6gp- 1-1-2.  Kochlachev 6gp- 4-8-12.  Hamilton-6gp 2-9-11. pretty good start, except for Spooner. And Spooner was the one that made a serious bid to make the Bruins this camp.

Hopefully this Stanley Cup hangover won't last too long and the Bruins can get back to the business of winning hockey games. I would rather it be early in the season and kind of expected it. The B's are too talented and will get out of this funk.

I am trying to hold off on forming any opinion until they have 10 games played. At 20 games we will know what kind of season we will see.

Are the B's trying their best to imitate the Sox start to their season?  So far the PP has looked nearly as anemic as last year - I've only been able to catch one game - against the Avs - on NHL Center Ice free promo.  Nice that they got the SO victory against the Blackhawks to snap the 2 game skid.  I know what everyone has been saying about the Stanley Cup hangover - and I sure hope they get it out of their system early on in the beginning of the season.  What's your opinion on how the FA pickups and trades have been working out so far?

Go Bruins!

I'm really surprised by the lack of posing going on so far this season. Anyway, my prediction is Nathan Horton goes off tonight, leading the B's to a much desired win.

mud, I don't think anyone wants to say anything yet for a couple reasons. One being a slight state of shock at how rough the season has been right out of the gate. Two would be that given the fact that they won the cup last season we need to let things play out for 10-20 games before we can really start finding what we like and what we don't like. Maybe the fans have a bit of a cup hangover going on as well. The gripes will come soon enough and the arguments that go with them. Maybe the new lines will prove to be a spark for this team.

Great win last night when the Bs play that type of hockey like last night thats when they're at they're best. Thornton got it going with that fight.I really like the line comb. Julien put in place it seemed to work out great. Chara also hitting the net more with his shot and the powerplay came up huge for us. I'm not worried remember not only are the Bruins struggling so are the teams that played in the conference finals. Tomorrow night the Sharks come to play if Rask plays net hopefully the Bruins could score some goals for him. Looking forward to beating the Sharks and maybe just maybe we'll let Jumb Joe look at our rings. GO BRUINS!!!!
