Two games in a row with 5+ goals.  The Bruins I personally think are out of their funk.

I think having Ryder back has been a huge presence.  He has 2 goals and 3 points in 2 games.  Phil Kessel has scored again and Tim Thomas is playing like Tim Thomas.

Good job Bruins!

Their back another great game by the Bruins. If the last two games are what to come, come playoff time watch out . As i sat back and watched the game it's really hard to trade anyone right know. I know that they have to get Bergeron his left winger but who do you get rid of. Mychael Ryder makes alot off difference welcome back Ryder. I said to send Bitz to the minors but lately he proved me wrong good job. Savard had a fight wow this team is playing great right now. Saturday will be an awesome game. Even Thomas had an assist the last two games 19 players had at least one point great team chemistry. Well i'm real proud the team got back to form. Lets hope they pull off a great trade and go all the way. Welcome back B's keep it going can't wait for Saturday.

Now that's what I'm talking about!!!!!

6-0 Bruins!!!

Now hopefully they'll stay out of that funk.

Ya think Michael Ryder was missed at all?

Man, I'd love to see Chris Pronger wearing a Bruins uniform. The kind of player we like in these parts!!

That would be huge. As long as we don't have to give up any of our young studs to be!

All i have to sat is WOW!!   The Bruins sure are making the rest of the conference look bad.  I remember all the fans screaming when they traded away Joe Thornton like they were blowing away the future of the team.  I bet all those same people now barely remember who joe even was.  I bet you would all still make that deal if you knew your team would be this good now.  I, a Rangers fan, only wish my team had a front office like yours.  We can't do anything right to save our lives.  And with the way its looking now...it going to be a few really long years in new york before thinks get on the up and up like in Boston.  You guys have a strong sports town right now.  You have the SOX, PATS, CELTICS....and now we can officially add the BRUINS to the list of big time teams....its only a matter of time before the CUP returns.   But....wouldn't it be great if you had EVERY championship in sports at the same time....oh my god i can see the headlines now....

I probably would still make that trade if I knew where the team was now, especially with all there young guns like Blake Wheeler, David Krejci, Phil Kessel and Milan Lucic.

But if I were to do the Joe Thornton deal again, I'd try and get a prospect or at least a 1st rounder.  Because quite frankly, if Nik Antropov can get a 1st, Joe Thornton should!

Tough last game against the Capitals.  Kind of a weak goal in OT there, but hopefully they can come out against the Flyers and whoop some butt!

Go Bruins!

Tonight could be a sloppy game for both teams. With the trade deadline one day away , the thought of being shipped out must be lurking in the minds of almost everyone.I am of the thinking that if the Great One could be traded, anyone can be traded.

in response to the very 1st post on this thread, i would have to vote chara as my favorite bruin ice girl. for tonights game, should be interesting. Flyers are 6-3-1 in their last 10, while boston is 3-4-3. nitty has not played well against the Bruins, while Tim Thomas was trying to do his best ron hextall impersonation letting in an 80 ft. slap-shot. i am curious to see how this plays out since everyone is using the bruins as a measuring still, while the B's are looking to get off the schnide.

Tough loss, but hey what can you do?

Also, shame about Marian Hossa.  I hope he's not badly injured.  Neck injuries are never good.

That lost sucked a$$ Bruins came out flying then in the second period they look flat in the beginning. The first goal was soft Manny should of had that. I'm glad Bergie scored a goal and Krejci got robbed and Bitz hit the post the out come could have been different if those go in. Well those are the breaks you win some you lose some.

Well it wasn't a blockbuster day for the Bruins, but I like both trades.  I liked Petteri Nokelainen, but Steve Montador is a solid defenseman whom teammates seem to like.  I think he's an immediate upgrade to Shane Hnidy, and wouldn't be suprised to see Hnidy a healthy scratch soon.

As for Mark Recchi, well gritty veteran who's Lefthanded shot will immediately help the PP?  Always liked this guy.  Blue-collar type of player who isn't afraid of dirty work.  So what he's 41?  He can still skate and getting him for Martins Karsums and Matt Lashoff isn't bad.  Karsums probably will never make it past third line, and Lashoff hasn't progressed very well.  Ok, so he's very young and has a ton of upside but it might be a sign if Julien didn't play him more when Ference and Ward were both out (rotated him and Boychuck).  The kicker is, we get the Lightning's 2010 2nd rounder which could very well be lower 30's.

Not too bad.  Yes I would've liked some better talent, but we didn't give up much in these trades IMHO, and we did upgrade.  I hope CJ puts Recchi with PJ and Kobasew.  Who's the healthy scratch?  Gotta be Bitz which is a shame.

i'm satisfied with todays trades! we got some veteran leadership in Recchi, and a good defenseman in Montador. I agree that lashoff has not progressed that quickly. I think we have a whole lot of youth to cover. I hope both players make an immediate impact since we have nt been to consistent lately. Now everybody can settle down and get back to winning! Lets get focused and get back to form!!!  GO Bruins!!!!

I also like the trades made today. Any time you can upgrade a team like that and not touch youre starting lineup is awesome. Recchi should make a big difference to the team especially of the way he has been playing of late, so hop e he can keep up the solid play. Montador is a good physical presence on the ice and that just upgraded are already solid defence. Good job in the trades and lets finally bring home lord stanley.

I can not complain about these trades.I think the Bruins did a great job at the deadline.I have said this several times but I can't say it enough...I am so glad they traded Lashoff. That alone made this day perfect!

Funyy i agree with most everything you said except wou you want Recchi to play with.  I see the B's line parings as this going forward.

Lucic-Savard-Kessel

Ryder-Krejci-Wheeler

Recchi-Bergeron-Kobasew

Pj-Yelle-Thorton

The D parings should be this.

Chara-Ward

Wideman-Ference

Montador-Stuart/Hnidy

With the line now 1 through 3 full of people that can put the puck in the net this should help all of them increase the scoring.  Especially with the way Bergeron has been playing lately.  I see him getting his gam back at the perfect time for a deep playoff run!!!

I love this trade, I hope this can spark the Bruins a bit to get out of this darn slump they are in lately. I always liked Mark Recchi ( less so when with the Canadiens, but you know why ) and like most of you , curious how the lines form. Can't wait for the game tonight...... stomp the Coyotes !
