Congrats to LSU on the BCS Championship game.  Seriously, an awesome game played with class and style.

(No, I won't call it the National Championship game as the BCS purposely denies opportunities to the whole of college football.  What a way to cheat all of college football - players and fans.)

Since they announced the matchup, I always said that Ohio State was overrated and had no business being in the championship game.  Imagine them playing a real schedule.

Perhaps one of these days we will really have a real National Championship game that really determines a champion.  Until then - we suffer with the Bull Crap System.

Sorry, but until the BCS is done away with, we will have to deal with faux programs like OSU.

Great Call. I was thinking the same thing with the absence of screens, rollouts, etc. Ohio State clearly needed to slow down the rush and could not get receivers open one on one

I think it is a travesty of justice that Ohio State didn't have any screen plays in the game plan.  Brandon Saines has great hands and GREAT speed.  He would have been a great choice.

I am also surprised at the fact that Antonio Hention, OSU's running QB didn't come in for a couple of plays to "mix" things up like LSU did.

Overall, just severely dissapointed with the offensive coaching staff.  At least the Defensive staff ADJUSTED in the 2nd half.

But, it is what it is and we Buckeye Fans will have to put up with all of the SEC homers who lived their season through LSU's accomplishments.

Good game LSU - you are a good team.

But Ohio State will be back next year WITHOUT a doubt.

That is not going to happen, since they just gave LSU the coaches trophy.

last year the defense was good, this year OSu's defense was great (until this game). next year they should keep EVERY single player except 1.

the offense last year was great. this year was eh. next year we should keep most everyone and be one of the best.

nice job LSU for the last time, but next year if you can make it back, OSU will be better, and im not just saying this. the team cant get worse

I'm not going to dry about. we lost plain and simple, but the whole country showed favoritism towards LSU. They we're all,"SEC speed, weak schedule, weak conference,etc,etc,blah,blah,blah". The refs totally made some bad calls, and some no calls at all. Oh well maybe we'll play again next year! Go Buckeyes!

Although, late breaking....ur coach is an a$$hole. No need to score a TD there.

OSU played well enough to win in long stretches of the games. Sections there when LSU seemed to be making all the right play calls. I think the officiating was horrible also. We block that punt and keep them from blocking our FG attempt and this is a different game. Boeckman is basically a freshman....he killed us this game

 

 

How many excuses can you come up with, you lost: twice in the NCG.  Just take it like a man and admit you cant match up with ANY sec team.  And to prove it I ask that you tell me the last sec team you beat in a bowl?

UK, "blaming the Refs"? what ya talking aboutI wasn't talking about you, I was talking to another fan who said he was keeping up with all the bad calls.  Now I am going to bed.

First of all, I have to congratulate the Tigers for winning the game. 
To do that with less yards rushing and less yards passing is an accomplishment. 

Considering in most preseason predictions, Ohio State was supposed to be 3rd or 4th in the Big Ten behind Michigan, Wisconsin and Penn State, and it was a "rebuilding" year, I will definitely accept 2nd best overall. 


That said and a few plays and the whole outcome would have been different.  LSU did not blow them out of the stadium.  This was not Florida from last year. 

LSU did what they needed to do to win. 

Lookin forward to Beanie next year.  He finished his sophomore season with 1611 yards on 274 carries (5.9 average), and 15 TD.  Could be a Heisman candidate next year.

OK, I will eat some crow, but I would like all of these idiots that think the winner of this game is a questionable champion to please sit down. These were the 2 best teams, period. LSU is the better team. They had more seniors. As and Ohio State fan, I blame the fact that all of our juniors left last year, while all of LSU's good juniors stayed (save Jemarcus, who was clearly smashed on PCP or something tonight - no way was that an NFL qb they interviewed).

Congrats to LSU, although I bet over the next 10 years, we have more rings than you do.

Well, as a Big Ten alum I hate to say it, but "The" Ohio State Buckeyes are now officially "The" Buffalo Bills of the NCAA.

and Personally in no way is the big 10 a "weak conference," in bowl games the past two seasons they have had some poor showings, highlighted by the Rose Bowl and National Championships games but they are still one of the top 3 conferences in the NCAA.  In the game Ohio State showed the same athletic ability as LSU but had some terrible mental mistakes, poor tackling, and their defenses scheme was terrible especially with zone blitzes
