I'm inventive and clever, he's boring and repetitive!
There really is no comparison!
Good Thursday Morning GB10, not sure where Dave was yesterday...Frank wants his 5 posts...lol
I'm not sure who was awake on the East coast to see Matt Cain pitch a perfect game, but I'm sure that Austin was pleased that it came against Rick who was so dominant early in the regular season and suddenly looks very vulnerable. Meanwhile the Tigers and Mets did substantial damage vs the Cubs Matt Garza and the Rays David Price respectively and now I lead Scott by nearly 40 points and it is I who now has the 1 SP advantage the rest of the week. No pitching starts for either of us today and I lose Robinson Cano and Rafael Soriano to off days, but Scott is without his two highest point producers (David Ortiz and Adrian Gonzalez) not to mention the underperforming Ryan Zimmerman, so I'm hopeful I can extend my lead to at least 50 points by end of day.
If I were MLB Commishioner for a day, the first thing I would change is that there would be a minimum of one afternoon matchup every single day that has at least 5 games being played and a minimum of two matchups when there is a full slate of games...especially in the months of June through August. Given the fact that the NFL is the gold standard for marketing some of their smaller market/lower expectation teams via the Thursday Night and Monday Night games, you would think that these other leagues would recognize the importantance of showcasing their similar teams during typical off peak hours.
How the hell do you think the pathetic Chicago Cubs gained such a large national following...by playing games when most every other team wasn't...that's how.
How the hell do you think the pathetic Chicago Cubs gained such a large national following...by playing games when most every other team wasn't...that's how.As a native Chicagoan, I can say the above is 100% correct.
I don't about the rest of you, but how I would love to kick the Prez's tail in fantasy play. You had your chance to TRY but it was overruled by the one everyone here answers to. Anyway, we are getting smoked by the opponents pitchers. One hit us with 35pt and yesterday another one hit us 42pt. 144-57 is the score with us trailing. We don't like blowouts so we hope our team can get their butts in gear before it's too late. At least the one pitcher we did have starting so far gave us 29pts, we have to wait for the others who pitch this weekend.
I watched that fight. The decision was pathetic. Boxing has finally hit the bottom of the barrel, especially comparing it to the 80's.Everyone says the decision was terrible. The three judges decide who wins. I'm still trying to figure out how the WBO is going to say the judges are very competent people (they've already said that is their position) and yet try to pick up some PR points by indicating their decision was somewhat puzzling/questionable.
heeeey! i know you, you're that lonely maytag guy that used to be on tv. do you still grab a beer and a cig and debate for hours when someone gives you the speck of attention you don't receive in real life? just curious.
