Let's just cut to the chase, douggie

Would you like to know why Duke is so widely reviled in so many parts of the country?  I'll give you a hint, it's not the team ... and it's not the school.  I mean think about it, what's not to like?  Duke is a world class institution of higher learning; and the basketball team has been doing it the right way while performing at an elite level all the way back to the days of Vic Bubas.  Add in a coach who is certainly on the short list for the greatest of all time, and Duke should be "America's Team".  I've got a particularly soft spot in my heart for Kryzewski, as we both served in the U.S. Army.  He got out not long before I went in.  (The lucky SOB didn't get sent to VietNam, but hey, we didn't get to cut our orders, we just went where Uncle Sam sent us.)  But still, why do so many people dislike Duke?
Well, I hate to be the one to break it to you, but it's the fans, douggie.  Not all of them.  Not even most of them.  I've got great friends who root for Duke, and we'll be engaging in some good-natured smack talk tomorrow.  Nope, it's just that legion of arrogant, incoherent, cousin-humping goobers (got a mirror handy?) who jumped on the Duke bandwagon back in the 90's, and whose sole reason to exist seems to be to infest internet message boards and annoy people. 
Most of the Carolina fans I know have at least a peripheral connection to the University.  I happen to be a graduate.  Tell me, douggie, have you ever been to Durham?  Hell, can you find Durham on a map?  Do you have any idea who James B. Duke was?  Washington Duke?  (We'll wait while you hustle over to Google.)   
You also whine about "name calling", but your entire schtick revolves around "National Cheaters", "Chump Hill", and "EWEnc" (although we've all figured out the pathology behind that last one).  Try to find a post where I took a cheap shot at Duke University.  You'll be looking for a long time, because I tend to reserve my scorn for sophomoric d-bags who have nothing better to do than display their ignorance and immaturity on the internet (still got that mirror close by?)
Win or lose, I'll be on this board tomorrow.  If Duke brings it home, I will offer my congratulations to the many Duke fans on this board whom I respect.  I've got Duke +6 for $75, so I can't lose.  I think the number is too high, and as I posted after the Duke-Miami game, I don't like to face the Blue Devils coming off of a home loss.  Coach K will definitely have them ready.  (I think I posted that at around the same time you were giving up on your team and predicting that they could lose to the Heels by 25.)   
Anyway, there it is, kid.  I hope I've been able to clear things up for you. You see, at the end of the day it's not really Duke that we don't like ... it's you.

Douggie and his legion of non Duke grads make up a big part of their fanbase, and for the knucklhead nc guy to call douggie out on a thread is part of the gig.  Neither you nor I were invited, and I apologize to the real UNC an Duke fans for responding.  Why don't you apologize, too?

I wasn't even sure if I spelled sanctimonious correctly..was it?  Only UNC and Duke fans know proper spelling.

Aaah, come on, tville!  We both know douggie doesn't do "measured".  It'll be something along the lines of, "Waaah, you called me a name" followed by, "You don't know anything about basketball."  It's all the little guy's got.   

douggie has been busy unlike ncarolina74 and her creative writing skills, the EWEnc goat herder. tville, did you know they have a tree where Dean Smith was hung in effigy? That's right. The whiners can't find that particular tree nor can they find the NIT Runner Up banner they so well deserved back in 2010. We think it's in Carmichael or the Dean Dome but we just don't know. That's when Roy threw the team under the bus if you remember. Also, they cannot seem to find where Greg Little, being on an "athletic scholarship" played basketball for Roy as well as played football for Butch Davis. He was one of the central figures who has definitely been found a CHEATER by the NCAA AND EWEnc itself as that's why the school vacated two football seasons recently. We still haven't heard back from the NCAA on exactly what they found. However, we do know for a FACT that Greg Little had a TUTOR writing his papers and paying his parking fines, which were in excess of 200!!!! That was also Butch Davis' son's tutor, btw. But here is a defining question for all the whiner fans. If Greg Little was a CHEATER in football was he not also a CHEATER in basketball? Shouldn't EWEnc be vacating basketball games also if they were a stand up school or are they simply the chicken schiat scum we all knew they were? Remember ncarolina74, you can't make chicken salad outta chicken schiat. There isn't enough mayonaise in God's green earth to help you. BTW, don't let Roy throw a heckler sitting about 15 rows back behind the bench pulling for Duke outta the game like he did with the Presbyterian fan. Loser.
