I firmly believe this team can win AT LEAST 5-9 games this year. Hell they could have won at least 5 last year in the first 8 weeks had it not been been for the piss poor coaching. They were in or winning many of those games early on. A new coaching staff who is committed to instilling toughness and heart along with a team who is really buying into it is going to catch a lot of teams by surprise. Not only that but they also have a little lighter of a schedule this year too. I could see the Colts at the very least splitting with the division (possible sweep of the Jags), and possibly beating the Browns, Chiefs, and Vikings. It wouldn't surprise me if we beat the Jets, Bears, or Lions either. This team isn't anywhere NEAR as bad as people believe. It still has a good core of veterans on both sides of the ball.

Lets just say the Colts DO finish with only 1 or 2 wins. Without a doubt the Colts are going to trade out for a plethora of picks. On top of that the Colts are going to be $43 MILLION under the cap! H O L Y S H I T can you imagine the amount of fun the Colts' front office is going to have next year in the offseason with a boat load of picks AND all that money?

Regardless, I still believe the Colts will win 6+ games this year (I bet a friend at work $50 that they will win at least 6) and go into next year with a solid mid-round pick plus all that money to get those few missing pieces. Then its GAME THE F ON! The Colts will be back in control of the South within the next year or two.

And I see Prisco's on the Colts bandwagon predicting a 1-15 season

the Nitwit predicted the same record for my Browns . we meet in week 7 . two rookie QB'S . two rebuilding teams ..we have been rebuilding since 99 it seems Yell. Going at it .

i dont see either franchise finishing up 1- 15 Prisco is a total MORON .

Been awhile since we have conversed C13 Hope all is well with you & yours .

Give us a round on the hound here for the start of training camps

I just find it funny that he has us as 1-15, does he think Caldwell and Painter are still here? I do think we'll be in that 5-8 win range this coming season, like bleedblu said I wouldn't be surprised with a division split or the possibilty of sweeping the Jags. Then there are other winable games like the Browns, Chiefs, and Vikings. And who knows maybe pull off an upset on someone. And being where I live, if we could knock off the Bears that would be the most fun for me. I just can't see how a team that isn't going to have Painter starting most of the season and isn't going to have Caldwell as the head coach is going to end up with a worse record than last season.

Yeah bluezhound, I don't see the Browns going 1-15 either. It's a pretty hard record to end up with. You guys had a solid d last season, Richardson should help out the offense, and while I'm not big on Weeden, hopefully he'll be an upgrade for you guys. Good luck to you and your Brownies this season besides week 7 lol

Hey guys!

Been awhile since we have conversed C13 Hope all is well with you & yours .

Hey bluez, it has been awhile. Things are well here and I hope the same with you. I'm looking forward to to seeing how these new Colts shake out this year. It will be interesting to see how your Browns do with Weeden. Good Luck! Smile

I agree with thegoat31, the Colts won 2 games with Caldwell and Painter yet Prisco is sayng that Luck and Pagano are only going to win 1? What an idiot! I'm guessing (hoping) maybe 6 to 8 wins this year. The fact that Caldwell will not be standing on the sideline with that stupid confused look on his face will be sweet! So many changes this season, the biggest change is I didn't approve of Manning being let go, Yell but I'm a Colts fan first and will always support my team.

Drinks are on me!

Couldn't have said it better, Thirteen. If no one else, at least the two of us will lift up a glass and toast Manning's return and longevity. That said, we are Colt fans first and foremost (as you correctly stated) .....so let's drink to that too!

So much for "Next Man Up." Let's rock and roll with "Building the Monster."

Tomorrow we get our first look at these new Colts with their first preseason game. Undecided At least it is sold out so it will be on tv so we can watch it. I hope that Luck will see more reps than Peyton did being that Luck needs all the reps that he can get.

Greetings to all on this first day of Colt football! Since the bar has been fairly quiet, I can only guess that most of you in Indy went to the game. That means that those of us that are far away get to comment first. Talk about "Building The Monster"! You know what this was? This was the Monster Mash!.....What I'd like to know is this: Is it too late to talk to the NFL scheduler and recreate our schedule so that we play the Lambs.....er.. Rams at least every OTHER week? But enough about St. Louis, who did their level best to remind the Indianapolis fans just how bad the Colts looked last season.....As far as the Colts go, the word that comes to mind is NOTHING! That's right......NOTHING!

I didn't see anything go wrong; in short, the Colts did nothing wrong on the field today. From buying Luck time, to St. Andrew looking defenders off and hitting guys wide open; from guys like Hilton, Cosby and Brazill running crisp routes and catching balls that other receivers would've dropped to the defensive line and even recent acquisition Moses Fokou playing like they were in mid-season form; from the offensive line opening holes wide enough for guys like me (at 250lbs) to run through to playing aggressive defense and special teams. Did'ya notice that with everything going on, we didn't have a lot of holding penalties, offsides and personal fouls? That's the mark of a well coached team. Guess what else? We actually have a running game! How about Donald Brown??! I'll tell you this; watch for the guys that we cut or put on the practice squad. Other teams are going to be checking our personnel moves closely to see if we're trying to hide a gem or two or three - I GUARANTEE YOU THAT! If this is what we can expect of a Coach Pagano-led team, this season is going to be a lot more fun than I anticipated. Now, I just want a test against a decent team like Kansas City, coached by Romeo Crenel, to give us a good close game. That should give all of us a better indication of where this team is and will be in the coming weeks.

And to think I wanted Jeff Fisher...........

iwas impressed with the way the rb's ran north and south. no tiptoeing across the line. the O line will not be great so they better run thru the hole quick, it wont be there long. and yes kappa all 3 qb's held their own. it was a good overall day

Slight error on the next game. We play the Steelers in Pittsburgh on the 19th in a nationally televised game on NBC. Still, its "must see TV" for all Colts' fans and St. Andrew WIll get that test that I want to see. Don't know if everyone heard this already, but according to OC Bruce Arians, Luck has already memorized the entire Colts' playbook and we're barely past the first pre-season game........Either Arians' playbook wasn't much to begin with, or we truly have a phenom on our hands. Anytime Jeff Fisher reservedly gushes about an opponent's play after a game, he must be special. I haven't heard him speak so highly of a player since...........well.....Peyton Manning.

Hey guys!
Andrew Luck seems to be good as advertised. Im looking forward to the game next week also. Steelers will be a heckuva test, especially with the way that O line played Sunday. I was impressed with Vic Ballard when was in and want to see play more.

If you're looking at MNF and watching a pitcher's duel (0-0) well into the 2nd quarter, it gives you a better appreciation for what Luck and the Colts did yesterday. If we move the ball consistently next Sunday, we'll see if these guys are for real. Obviously one cannot argue with Dungy's system, but I've always thought that to develop that thirst and mentality to win, it needed to start in pre-season. Pagano seems to feel the same way.

In other news, sorry to hear about Scott Lutrus and Pat Angerer. One's going be out the entire season; the other almost half. I know they'll be scanning thew waiver wire, but I wouldn't be opposed to having Gary Brackett for a second tour of duty. Any objections?

That was mentioned on WTHR sports tonite. Pagano ruled him out saying that Brackett had no experience playing the 3-4.
