I'm right there with ya Jason. I have a fantasy baseball group, and a fantasy football group. I'm involved with 3 baseball keeper leagues, being the commissioner of one of them. The league I am commissoner of, we are already looking at other sites for next year. (already going to run a test on yahoo, and see how it compares with here)Hey postaljeff, I hear ya brother. I only play the pay (commissioner) leagues here on CBS, but have started to play some on Yahoo. Yahoo is gaining on CBS and I think there free product may be better than CBS's product. CBS should be worried, and this whole favorite thing can't be helping.
tville, right now I am following all the derby contenders. Like tomorrow I will go to the track for the soul purpose of watching the Floriday Derby. Couple of horses look good in it and they are Derby contenders in May. I do not really pick a favorite untill the last couple weeks in April. The real contenders are known by then. In April I will be glad to let you know my favorite. Right now I am going through all the contenders back performaces, watching their races. I never like to say who my favorite this time of year and then change my mind later. One horse I really do like right now is Lookin at Lucky. He was running on systhetic surfaces and went to Oaklawn on then dirt for the first time and won that race. He proved he can run on different surfaces. He proved he can win on dirt. He is one horse to warch. If he stays healthy, he is a big contender for the derby.
Day 18. This doesn't affect me, but what happens to those people who have hundreds of favorites? Let say the powers that be decide on a cap of 250. Will they have to delete some to get below 250 or will they be "grandfathered in?"
No matter what, as you can tell from the posts, this isn't going over well.
No matter what, as you can tell from the posts, this isn't going over well. One of the problems is that when you try to add another favorite, you get the "delete others" notice. Well, if you delete one, you can't get them back.

They're doing more and more to run off the long time posters. They make silly changes like this, yet they permit a certain few complete and utter idiots to run rampant on here...lol
I've set up 2 of the leagues I am on in here at yahoo, to see how it runs and compares to CBS. If it runs nearly as good, I'll be moving my commissioner leagues over to there. I also play on a few other sites, my work league we do it thru fantasybaseballsite.com and we have already moved our football leagues to myfantasyleague.com. They continue to alienate people like this, they're just gonna lose more and more. But I'm just one person, but then one becomes 2, and 3, and it grows....either way, the powers that be, here at CBS, need to catch a clue. If favorites slow them down, then they really need to hire more intelligent programmers.
I Played Yahoo FFB Last year and there free version wasn't that impressive to me . i am trying FBB This Summer for the first time so we will see how that works out .
you might as well throw the connections out as part of your more than confusing rating system . that was part of the 4 factors or it used to be. those Servers were a mess Fri . i could hardly get on the site to check my brackets . what a mess the powers to be made of this . it started last year about this time . if this keeps up you will have more posters fleeing this place like rats from a sinking ship . but then again that could be there master plan to thin the herd .
How many ID's will I need to create so I can have all the favorites I choose?
Multiple ID's it appears will be the way around the issue. I realize you guys don't like that but your decision making will greatly influence the users' decision making. Anything I've seen tried on here has always been maneuvered around fairly quickly and easily. Unfortunately it appears that is the fastest and easiest way to accomplish things....exploit the loopholes.
i have two now and that's only because of the fantasy restrictions . you get three teams per sn . i play more than three teams in baseball & football . everybody that knows me , knows what the second sn is . its no secret . those who dun . its riff-raff . i agree the servers need some help but find a different way to trim the fat . people start creating all the multiple sn will not help your server issue .
I think the lack of being able to add more than 50 favorites is actually helping me out, with all the new members stuck at lower ratings and making it harder for them to advanced, I already notived my level has been on the rise, I am up to a 97. That's the spirit, PADAK, looking for the silver lining.
