Prentice Redman is a classic journeyman "4A" player. He's that guy who plays great at Triple-A, always seems to be on the cusp of a major-league breakthrough, but never quite makes it.In his first season in the Dodgers organization, Redman (photo courtesy MiLB.com) has batted .332 with 41 RBIs and an OPS of .954 at Triple-A Albuquerque. At age 30, it looked like he might finally get his chance, his first major-league look since playing 15 games with the Mets in 2003.
Well, so much for that. Redman tested positive for an amphetamine and was suspended 50 games Friday by the commissioner's office.
