ARLINGTON, Texas -- This is going to shock you.
There's rain in the forecast for Game 6 of the World Series.
Of course there is. How could there not be?
It's been rainy all season, in so many places. It's been rainy all month. It rained in St. Louis before Game 1 last week.
Sure enough, weather.com says there's a 70 percent chance of rain on Wednesday, when Game 6 is scheduled for Busch Stadium. It figures, just as it figures that it has been beautiful in St. Louis all weekend, while the World Series has been in Texas.
The good news: If there is a Game 7, it will be Thursday. And as of now, the forecast says there's only a 10 percent chance of rain on Thursday.

Rain (of course) in the forecast for Game 6its definitely gonna be a game where small ball needs to happen! and the rangers and small ball sometimes don't go together! should make for a very good game!! one play is gonna make the difference! should be a high emotion type night that hinges on every pitch!! GOD I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!

Rain (of course) in the forecast for Game 6Rain is one thing and that's bad. But the games in Arlington have been better because temperature is baseball temp. Watching the Ranger fans in short sleeves this week-end was nice. The games at Busch were quiet as fans sat in parkas and mittens and sounded like someone beating the dust out of a rug when they clapped. The pitchers seem to have a great advantage in cold weather. I guess they are warmed up pitching to consecutive hitters while the batter has trouble getting into his stroke once ever 45 minutes or so. Of course the ball doesn't carry in the heavy cold air.

Rain (of course) in the forecast for Game 6Rain could put Holland in as game 7 starter on regular rest if both games get pushed back, or at the very least have him available for relief if either Lewis or Harrison falter. After last night, I would love to see a rainout so we could go to Saint Louis with our best post season pitcher (Lewis), and our most dynamic pitcher (Holland)both fully rested.
