If you missed the first inning and only have looked at the play-by-play or box score of the Phillies-Cardinals NLDS Game 4, you missed a hilarious defensive play by Gold Glover Shane Victorino. Lance Berkman hit a shot into the gap, and when Victorino went to field the ball, he fell. And he threw the ball ... backwards. There's no need to further elaborate, as you can check out the GIF below.

Shane Victorino fall

It's OK to laugh. Victorino himself was laughing about it. Plus, it didn't cost the Phillies anything. The runner was going to score anyway and Berkman was stranded on third at the end of the inning. Amazingly, that was the first error Victorino committed all season, regular season and postseason included.

Victorino's first 2011 error was quite comical

The arrogance of Philly fans amuses me to no end.  Take "volleydog" for example, saying the Phils "gift wrapped" two wins and are playing like crap.  What about game 3?  Where a lucky pinch hit home run was the only runs scored in the ENTIRE GAME off of Cardinals pitching.  If anything, this series might be over all ready!  I am a die hard Cardinal fan, but even I won't say the Cardinals "gave" anything away.  It was unfortunate that Garcia gave up that 3 run bomb, but the Phils are a good team.  One thing I must say is that the "vaunted" pitching of the Phils has  been OVER-hyped by the media, phils fans and ESPN.  The reality is, Halladay is a stud, Cliff Lee and Hamels are any teams #1 or #2, but Oswalt is NOT.  He was a stud a few years back, but unfortunately his back won't cooperate.  Great game 5 on Friday, looking forward too it!

Unbelievable.  Props to Freese for his RBI outburst today (because he was all over Oz's stuff), but damn, the Phils are in a 2-2 series with 2 gift wrapped wins.  How many baseball 101 mistakes can one team possibly make in a playoff game?  Giving away strikes on belt high meatballs down the middle of the plate?  And generally TERRIBLE approaches to at bats in situations where pitchers aren't quite hitting their spots?  Making the first out of a potential big inning at 3rd base on a a baserunning play that wasn't aggressive; it was just plain stupid.  Jump all over a pitcher at the start of the game (2 runs in 3 batters), then give away momentum by running yourself out of the inning with a K (looking) / CS DP?  Seriously?  Just some TERRIBLE mental baseball displayed by the Phils today.

There's no other word for you, except idiot. Pitching Halladay on short rest and not saving him for game 5 on normal rest if necessary is just ridiculously stupid. You are a very, very, very stupid person and you are the type of Philly fan that gives the rest of us a bad name because you don't know what you are talking about and you're the loudest person out there. You can still be a fan, just stop listing your opinion anywhere publicly. You're terrible.

You know what I wish was as funny? The bumpkin we have for a coach.  Halladay should have gone today then Lee on normal rest if needed.  News flash uncle Buck you suck as a manager because you dont have the guts to "manage."  Anyone who didnt see a very high probability for Oswalt to suck hasnt been following the Phils all year.  I dont care about what he's done in the past, in one corner we have a guy whining about retiring in the middle of the year in the other corner probably the best pitcher in baseball over the last five years.  Hey, maybe we lose with Halladay pitching, who knows? but I would rather go down with Halladay and Lee then almost an automatic loss then Oswalt.  Charlie may be a nice as everyone's grandfather, but when it comes to making decisions he's Uncle Buck.  Oh, and if you are getting paid to hit on the Phillies you should seriously consider giving some money back.
