Brewers fan calls 911 about missing remote

We've all been there. You can't for the life of you find your remote control just as a big game is about to start. So what do you do? Well, first you manually go up to your receiver and get to the channel you want, then you start tearing your living room apart to find the control. Of, if you have a five-year-old son who thinks it's hilarious to hide the remote, you lay down the law. Even better, if you're a 97-year-old Brewers fan, you call 911 and report that someone has stolen your remote.

According to a police report, that's exactly what happened on Sept. 26 (WestAllisNow.com). There's a happy ending, though, because the remote control was found after police responded -- so it sounds like the officer helped him find it -- and he was able to see his beloved Brewers play that night.

The person was 97 years old, so I guess he or she deserves a break. It's great that they are still alert enough to watch a game, I hope I'm still able to watch a baseball game when I hit 97, if I make it that long.

Hilarious! This fan should throw out the first ball at one of the Brewers' home games next year or maybe in the playoffs this year, depending how deep the Brewers go.

Maybe the wife took it when she went shopping! Why didn't the guy get off his couch and change the channel by hand. Let me guess...he had his hands full. One was holding a beer and the other was holding a sandwich. That's cool! I won't judge the guy. If he truly felt that losing his remote was an emergency...then by all means he should call for help.

It's funny that no one has mentioned the word "brautwurst" until now.  I told my friend that if the Brewers make it to the WS I am going to ask him to come onto my show and I will be sporting Brewers gear as well. Not sure how that will pan out since my show is not located in Brewer Country.
