Wilson hits the disabled list

By Matt Snyder

Giants closer Brian Wilson has landed on the disabled list, along with his beard, due to inflammation in his right elbow (Extra Baggs). He reportedly felt something in his elbow last Monday night during his blown save against the Braves and didn't feel comfortable Tuesday, which prompted a visit to Dr. James Andrews (MLB.com) -- the famed surgeon who performs Tommy John surgeries, among other procedures. He did Wilson's Tommy John surgery a few years ago. Andrews found nothing more than inflammation, so Wilson isn't going under the knife, for now. Still, it's bad enough to land him on the disabled list. He's eligible to come off August 31.

Wilson, 29, has closed 35 of 40 save chances this season with a 3.19 ERA and 1.49 WHIP.

Wilson hits the disabled list...geez!

What else can go wrong?!  The Giants have struggled with injuries more than most other teams this season.  I am amazed they are still in the race for the NL West.  This being said they better pull it together over the next month because they have been playing like crap.  The loss of Wilson doesn't hurt the Giants as much as one might think considering the way the Giants have been playing lately.  When the team isn't winning going into the final inning because no one can hit the ball with runners on base the team really doesn't need a closer...Wilson's injury shouldn't be the main concern at this moment.  Hitting the damn ball and moving runners around the bases should be the point of concern.  When the Giants can carry a lead into the ninth inning Wilson's injury may become more of an issue.  Sorry just venting.

A lot of the players could use a break! The majority of the players on DL will be back by September! The Giants are only 1 1/2 games out of first place in the West. They yet have one of the top pitching staffs in baseball. We all know that the pitching won the World Series last year. So I love the Giants even though the have really angered me this month. Do it again Giants!!!!

Won't be long before someone talks about him taking juice.  Look at the folling pictures, and see how his body transformed the way...Barry Bonds'body did over the years:

Now, the guy is pretty vascular, pretty confident, strange and obviously powerful.

The dude is juicing.
