GonzalezCarlos Gonzalez aggravated his right wrist contusion during Thursday's game against the Braves, injuring it on a 1-1 pitch in the bottom of the fifth inning. While Gonzalez's public relations Twitter announced after the game that the MRI showed inflamed ligaments -- a fair amount of good news -- the recurrence is a reason for concern as Gonzalez had previously missed a week with the injury.

Gonzalez had homered earlier in the game, which is still ongoing. He's hitting .289/.358/.491 as one of the most productive Rockie hitters on the team. Already entering the day 9 1/2 games out of first, CarGo hitting the 15-day disabled list could wreak havoc on Colorado's trading deadline and postseason hopes.

My favorite player outside of the Twins. This guy does it all. I am thinking he needs to be shelved for a while. Too bad, he was resurrecting his season quite well. He looked pretty good for a guy who was obviously not fully recovered. Get better, Carlos!
