Jose ReyesShortstop Jose Reyes could return to the Mets' lineup by Tuesday.

Reyes ran the bases Sunday morning before the team's game against Philadelphia and felt that he could play Monday, but he was overruled by management.

"It feels like normal," Reyes told reporters, including Roger Rubin of the New York Daily News

Reyes is eligible to come off the 15-day disabled Monday. He went on the DL on July 2 because of a hamstring issue, but it didn't look to be a problem as he ran out of the batters box to first, as well as running out doubles, going first-to-third and scoring from second.

Reyes would likely play in rehab game -- most likely with the Class A Brooklyn Cyclones, who are at home Monday -- before returning Tuesday for the Mets' second game of a series against the Marlins.
