Rolen deserves to be there more than some of these guys!I agree he isn't having the best year but he was injured and is still getting into his groove.Hes had like 8 gold gloves and is a likely hall of famer.

It is a good thing that Tony LaRussa isn't managing b/c he would bat Halladay 8th.  Too bad they are using the DH rule in tonight's game.

Tony LaRussa would probably bat Halladay 8th.  So it is a good thing that he isn't managing, with tonight's game using the DH rule.

Maybe being 37 has something to do with it.  Decline with age is very normal

ever think that it could be that he is 37 years old and has been in the league since 97? Roids could also be a part of it but I think its mostly age

You know why Todd Helton is not at the All Star game because they DRUG test now !!!!! His numbers have stunk for several years now. He isnt even on pace to have 80 RBI's hit 25 HR's or score 80 runs for a first baseman those numbers are pathetic AND he plays in Colorado where his numbers could be inflated with the air. Are you serious thinking his numbers are better than Fielder ?????

For Scott Rolen to make the All Star team goes to shows the the game and the the process of picking players has gone to the toilet .241 BA 5 HR 36 RBi's I mean people have had better months than he had first half. He should have politely declined the invite. Its not like he is an icon that the fans would like to see IE.... Ripken or Jeter

rolen is still the best defensive third baseman in the game - he's struggling alittle lately at the plate and his avg is down
but normally bery formidable -
