KarsayWhen Albert Pujols fractured his left wrist on June 19, the early prognosis had the slugger out four to six weeks, hinting at a return sometime in August after a rehab stint in the minors.

But Pujols could be back with the Cardinals prior to the All-Star break in a shocking development reported by the St. Louis-Post Dispatch.

A CT scan performed Friday showed a much-diminished fissure on Pujols' left radius. If a follow-up exam on Monday shows sustained improvement in the wrist, Pujols will be cleared to resume baseball-related activities. That would ensure a return right after the All-Star break, although the best-case scenario has Pujols appearing in an upcoming four-game series with the Diamondbacks just prior to the All-Star break.

Pujols kicked his contract year off to a bad start, but had gotten hot before the injury to push his overall line to .279/.355/.500 with 17 home runs in 338 plate appearances. Despite the absence of Pujols, the Cards have won four straight to snag a one-game lead over the Brewers for the NL Central lead.

MY,my. Got under the skin quite a bit didn't I? You had to resort to name calling. I've stated clearly that IF he is guilty of using hgh I would prefer to see him suspended. I've also made it clear here and on other posts the Cards would be nuts to pay his demands. My only accusation against you is that you have no proof only suspicion. You may be right but without proof you have only speculative opinions. I guess I have made fun of your spelling. Sorry if that one got under your skin.
As far as I'm concerned McGwire,A-Rod, Sosa and the likes have compromised the integrity of the game. I don't respect them either.Later my immature Cubbie.

Okay Mr. run on sentences.   There is a big difference between spelling poorly and a typo.  You're just being a jerk.

As for your claim that I'd like to see Pujols the cheater in a Cubs uniform, it's totally false.  I'd much rather have Fielder who is a believable 28 rather than Pujols who is probably 35.

By the way, Pujols is reportedly trying to come back tomorrow, which makes his comeback two and a half weeks for a broken wrist.  You're a fool to deny his usage.

Have you forgotten about Sammy Sosa? I see your spelling hasn't improved. You have no proof that your allegations are true! He has not returned to playing yet and all you have done is speculated. If you are like most Cub fans I have known, you would love to see him wearing a Cub uniform launching balls on to Waveland and Sheffield Avenues. If, and I said if, he is guilty as you have charged and prematurely convicted I for one would hope he ends up in Chicago with the other players who go there to have sub par seasons.

you probably don't have much else to do during baseball season than slander the opposition.
It's not slander when it's ture.

Pujols is just as much of a cheater as McGwire was.

How pathetic Cubs2008! You use the sarcasm of my post to try and justify your position. I'm going to try to be empathetic here. When your team has fallen out of contention before the all star break you probably don't have much else to do during baseball season than slander the opposition.

Albert is on hgh and not nearly the ballplayer that we all have seen for ten years.
I'm glad we could bring you back to reality.

A person with poor grammar making fun of someone for their spelling mistakes.. That is absolutely hilarious.
