Dodgers won't sell 'Chapter 11' jerseys

We've all seen people wearing those personalized jerseys that are available for purchase from each major league team. You know, someone slips his own last name and favorite number on, say, a Rangers jersey, and then large groups of people mock him? Yeah, you know what I mean.

Well, apparently some Dodgers fans tried to customize jerseys with the name "Chapter" and the number "11," in light of the bankrputcy filing. It's pretty hilarious if you ask me. Unfortunately, the Dodgers didn't seem to find the humor in it. If you go to MLB.com and try to purchase a "Chapter 11" jersey, you'll get this message:
Your current entry cannot be processed. Language deemed inappropriate, derogatory, or profane will not be accepted. Please create a new entry.
BustedCoverage.com points out that "Chaptur 11" still makes it through the system, if you wish to push through.

While the idea is both clever and funny, I'm not sure I'd want to spend $100 on it. Then again, I'm not a Dodgers fan. Maybe they're so disgruntled with the situation that it's worth the C-note.

Just buy a Dodgers jersey and then get some one else to put the name on.
Genius idea. Do it then put them on ebay and  make millions then buy the Dodgers with the proceeds. I'm sure it will get to the point the dodgers will only be worth millions when McCourt is through. How bout that Frank? Would you take millions now? You could give Jamie half and still be able to eat. The way you are going that sounds like your best option right now. Getting hungry yet?

Just buy a Dodgers jersey and then get some one else to put the name on. As long as MLB makes money off it and so do ther players and staff, McCourt should shut up and take any cent he can.Not concocted, pretty funny.
Then again, Ted Turner tried to either give the nickname to or tried to change the last name of Andy Messersmith to Channel, so that his jersey would read Channel 17, his own player advertising his network. Concocted, but funny. MLB saw through this scheme,  Chapter 11 is not a scheme.
However, baseball will come out with some lame statement like "There is no player with the last name Chapter who wears the number 11. As such, please do not purchase these items, as they are considered unofficial MLB wear.
