Mark Teixeira

By C. Trent Rosecrans

While there was plenty of talk about batters being plunked during the recently completed Yankees-Red Sox series, there wasn't much done about it besides talking to reporters.

Well, with the Red Sox safely out of town, the Yankees got bent out of shape when Fausto Carmona hit Mark Teixeira in the second inning and the benches cleared. Sure, it wasn't much more than a basic baseball millabout, but it could be worth watching in the next couple of days.

On the first pitch after Curtis Granderson launched a homer to make it 4-0 Yankees, Carmona hit Teixeira between the shoulder blades. Teixeira got up yelling at Carmona, and manager Joe Girardi joined him.

Girardi and Indians manager Manny Acta also had a prolonged discussion about the day's events.

Carmona has now hit seven batters this season, and Teixeira has been hit seven times this season, including Tuesday against the Red Sox when he had to leave the game.

Carmona struck out Teixeira in the fourth in their next meeting.

Before talking please get your facts straight..

C.C Sabathia  3.15 era
Aj Burnett  4.37 era
Bartolo Colon 3.39 era
Freddy Garcia 3.86 era
Ivan Nova 4.30 era

Everybodys era is under 4.50.. pretty bad rotation right? And five of their pitches one being Phil Hughes are on the DL.

(Boston's payroll is just 40 mil under the Yanks)

Tex' hits the ground once again and puts on a Academy Award show and has the nerve to say Carmona meant to hit him when Carmona hardly made 1/2 his pitches for strikes

Sometghing like ... 93 pitches and 45 for strikes, lol

Yank fans were in a tizzy after the got SWEPT AGAIN  by the Sox and are looking like a team that has just as much problems as most teams do, BUT FLUSTERED to the MAX!!!!

No pen'  and a rotation of CC, AJ. Burnout, Colon, Garcia and Nova

seriously when did a yank fan even surmiss the horrid of this rotation with the millions they spend

OH MY!
A Roid Sox fan supporting the bean ball?  Shocking!  How funny is it that a Roid Sox fan talks about spending too much, that would be like OJ speaking out against murder lol.  I'm not in a tizzy being that we are playing our worst ball of the year while the guys in first can't play any better, and are only 2 games back, I'm estatic!  It is 2009 all over again - sweet!

Have always hated that bitch teixeira... just so damn whiney and unlikeable, plus that little face heputs on is just a joke.    As a team the yankees need to grow a pair of balls... they do nothing but bitch to the media as the Red Sox utterly destroy them in every facet of the game (yankees are EXTREMELY lucky the Sox started 2-10 so they can still be within a few games right now).   Go after the Indians instead and their worst pitcher and a guy who has absolutely zero control and a team who is falling fast after a fast start (losers of 12 of their last 16)..... kudos yankees, you should be proud of yourselves.
I hope this piece of trash isn't breeding, but of course if he did it would have to be by force.  Some people should be summarily deported, like this wanna be thug.

They followed the event with 7 runs and a spanking--that's all you can ask for to back-up tough words.

youk is the toughest and most beaned player in the game, without question. Tex is a overpaid crybaby, who takes every beaning personally..... sounds a lot like a-roid, huh? The yankees think they're better than everyone and they think they're special..... I think they look old, have one good pitcher and will miss the playoffs this year, but hey, at least Jeter will get his 3,000th hit...
Except he isn't.  By using what we call facts and statistics, we see that Youk isn't even in the top 5.  Tex is number one by far.  Now for team rankings, the Red Sox have beaned the most players in the majors (Francona ball), in fact they are far and away number one, while the White Sox have been hit the most (just one more than the Yankees).

Guess which team has beaned the least amount of players?  Yep, the Yankees.  Class can't be bought as Bosston continues to prove.

I remember 2009, when the Yankees lost their first 8 games to the Roid Sox, and they won the Series.  I love it when histopry repeats itself.  Thank you karma.  Sweet.  Class over trash baby!
