First things first: The Mets are far too much of a punching bag for opposing fans. They entered Thursday with a 29-32 record. That's not good, but it's not exactly horrible. Considering all the injuries, the players who are actually on the field haven't been bad at all. Still, many Mets fans are disgruntled with the ownership situation, especially since they'll likely see either David Wright or Jose Reyes gone sometime soon. Thanks to the Bernie Madoff ponzi scheme, owner Fred Wilpon and COO Jeff Wilpon are having serious financial issues, and the league may soon have to intervene.

In that vein, there are T-shirts for sale on timetoselltheteam.com. (Click thru to view them all.)

Two of my favorites:

- "Who Madoff With My Team?"

- "TWO DOWN, TWO TO GO ... OMAR JERRY FRED JEFF

Just went on www.timetoselltheteam.com
Loved it! Some great ones.
Just in time for Father's Day gift.

Bought 2. One for Dad and one for me.
Tough choice though.
Went with "You Gotta Bereave" and "The Great Ponzini".
Debated on "Welcome into the House that Ruth's Husband Built" but may come back and get that one too.
We need more people to buy these things and start wearing them to games.
Guaranteed to bring a smile to any Met fan!

The movement to get the Wilpon's to sell is NOT about the Wilpons....it is not Anti-Owner, it is PRO METS...We need an owner
who has the resources and the cajones to invest in this Big-Market Team......not someone cutting payroll because of their own financial mistakes.

www.timetoselltheteam.com is right......

These mets fans are morons. The mets are 3rd best in the division for the forseeable future unless we trade for prospects. It's idiots like these that make me ashamed to be a mets fan

Getting back to the REAL matter at hand....The Wilpons and their financial decisions have more than worn out thier welcome in the Big Apple, the nation's microscope for sports teams. They need to sell, get some new blood in there, put the past in its place and get the METS back into the post season! The players and the talent is there...when all healthy. so no excuses but when your front office and ownership has become the biggest news and distraction for your team....something is definitely wrong.
; Where is Joan Payspon when you need her !
