Looks like Chase Utley isn't the only star returning to majors on Monday -- Josh Hamilton and Nelson Cruz will likely return to the Rangers lineup, manager Ron Washington said before Sunday's game.

"If they make it out of [Triple-A] Round Rock tonight and they show up at the ballpark tomorrow … damn right, they're going to be in that lineup," Washington told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Both have been at Triple-A Round Rock this weekend after spending time at Double-A Frisco. Both homered on Saturday for Round Rock. Hamilton is 4 for 14 with two walks and two homers in four games in the minors, while Cruz is 6 for 19 with one walk and two homers in five minor-league games.

Round Rock plays Colorado Springs today at 2:05 p.m. ET. The Rangers return from Philadelphia on Monday for a six-game homestand against the White Sox and Royals.

"The Yankees and the Rays will be the other contenders in the American League"

Already counting the red sox out they are only a half game out after an awful start. Cleveland also has shown no signs of slowing down. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see the yankees or the rays miss the playoffs completely.

Hamilton and Cruz will be huge for the Rangers, if not, something is seriously wrong. I am not even a Rangers fan, but these 2 will propel the Rangers to the post season and to a possible return to the World Series. The Yankees and the Rays will be the other contenders in the American League. Hamilton and Cruz are just flat out dangerous hitters.

lumpoco you would say that, sad little A's fan :(  Back to our modern day version of the "Bash Brothers" being back in blue and red again finally!!! I cant wait, no more pitching around Michael Young, Ian Kinsler and Elvis Andrus. plus now we can see what guys like Gentry and Chavez can bring to the table offensively. Go Rangers!!!

you must be a retuard or something because last time i checked the rangers are barley hanging on so they need them to produce some runs tomorrow against the white sox.

I seriously must disagree.  While both are always going to be injury risks (something that was obviously known before your fantasy draft was held), they both play in a terrific hitters ballpark, with a strong lineup around them, and with the weather getting warmer, the runs always start flying out of that place like a rocket pad.  The injury risk is a solid consideration, but I think the upside on these two is massive to say the least.
