Two days after coming off the disabled list, Brewers outfielder Nyjer Morgan is headed back to the DL. Morgan suffered a broken left middle finger and is out two to four weeks. He suffered the injury trying to bunt in the eighth inning of the Brewres' loss to the Braves, but stayed in the game for the bottom of the eighth inning.
Morgan executed a successful sacrifice bunt, even though the ball hit his hand and knee before landing in fair territory. The ball should have been called dead, but instead the runner went to second and Morgan was thrown out at first.
Morgan lost the Nationals' center field job in spring training to Rick Ankiel before being traded to the Brewers. In Milwaukee, Morgan's produced, hitting .379/.419/.586 in 15 games. He came off the disabled list on Tuesday with a bruised right thigh. For more baseball news, rumors and analysis, follow @cbssportsmlb on Twitter or subscribe to the RSS feed.
