Scott still doubts Obama's birth certificate

Luke ScottThe Orioles' Luke Scott still doesn't believe President Barack Obama was born in the United States.

"[President Obama's] birth certificate has yet to be validated," Scott told Sam Mellinger of the Kansas City Star.

Scott, a proud birther, made headlines at the winter meetings when he told Yahoo!'s David Brown he didn't believe the president was born in Hawaii and that he was "hiding something."

Obama, of course, released the "long form" birth certificate so many had asked to see recently. That wasn't good enough for Scott.

"If they can counterfeit $100 bills, I think it's a million times easier to counterfeit a birth certificate, if you ask me," Scott said. "So, all it is, let's just see if it's real. Anybody can produce a document, so let's check it out."

The Orioles, it should be noted, have done their best to distance themselves from Luke's outspoken political beliefs and have asked him not to talk about them on company time, but have also allowed him to exercise his right to free speech.

In more important matters, Scott was 2 for 5 with a three-run homer in the Orioles' 6-5 loss to the Royals on Tuesday. It was his sixth homer of the season.

Scott still doubts Obama's birth certificate

OK Admins let me rephrase...

I believe very strongly that it is wrong for blacks eh African Americans to constantly pull the race card against white people. I know some people are racist but not everyone. I like polish sausage. I hate chinese checkers but i love french fries. Hate Belgain waffles love German sheppards. Cant stand English Muffins. Heres a real puzzler hate danished cheese, love cheesed danish. I dislike things for the right reasons not based on race. I dont like people that pull the race card constantly not because of race or anything and one more thing you are free to dislike me to as long as its for the right reasons and if you dont like that well then you can kiss me right between the butt cheeks.

"So even if Obama was born in Hawaii, he legally should not be PRESIDENT based on his FATHER being a LEGAL Citizen of KENYA"

Wow, the ignorance of this poster is showing.

The reason why were having trouble with illegal immigrants is because their #1 tactic, once they cross the border, is to have children. Once they have that child, Born on american soil, the courts CAN deport the parents, but not the child, because the child is a natural born US citizen, in accordance with our constitution.

In short, the illegal immigrants are blackmailing us; "Either you allow us to stay here, or you're going to pay to raise our child".

Barack Obama was born on American soil; who his father was is irrelevent; who is mother was is irrelevent; he was born on American soil.

I'M GOING CUT THROUGH THIS RACE ISSUE AS QUICK AS I CAN.

There is more overwhelming evidence the Barack Obama was born on American soil than there is otherwise. He is an American citizen and he is my president. To deny this mean that you are either a nut or a racist. Choose wisely; because at least a racist can claim sanity and not risk more discrimination.

The choice is yours. Are you a nut or a racist? Make your choice now.

This is not quite correct...  The law that is currently written (OBAMA even participated in this law while still senator...) is that for a person to be a legal President he/she needs to have met the following criteria:

1)  They can be born outside the US as long as BOTH parents are LEGAL American Citizens (so Tim Tebow could run for President!) or be born on a United States Military Base on Foriegn Soil.

2)  If they are born in United States, it is required that BOTH parents must be LEGAL US Citizens for someone to be PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES.  President is the only position in GOVERNMENT that this requirement is VALID.

So even if Obama was born in Hawaii, he legally should not be PRESIDENT based on his FATHER being a LEGAL Citizen of KENYA.

This is a new height of ridiculousness. Do you have a source for this, or are you just making up Constitutional law as you go? The Constitutional requirements for the presidency do not stipulate that both parents (or even one parent) be US Citizens, unless the individual is born outside the US. If Obama was born in the US, his father could be from Mars and it wouldn't matter.

I'm just waiting for the birthers to start in with the theory that Hawaii isn't really a state!

Scott still doubts Obama's birth certificate

So what you are saying is that although the U.S. Federal Elections Committee prescreens candidates, they failed to perform a sufficient background check into whether or not a man met the constitutional qualifications to be the leader of strongest country in the world? Interesting....

Oh, and it's not "Hawaiin," it's Hawaiian: learn how to spell dumbass.

What's really funny is that Barack will win the Presidency in 2012. EASILY.Laughing  You  pathetic haters can do nothing about that except stew in your own juices.
