Jose Bautista, the American League Player of the Month for April, underwent an MRI on his sore neck in Tampa on Tuesday.
Bautista was taken out of the Jays' game with the Yankees on Sunday and isn't in the lineup today.
Bautista's sore neck got worse following the team's flight from New York to Tampa, John Lott of the National Post writes.
"When he woke up this morning it was even more intense," Toronto manager John Farrell told reporters before Tuesday's game. Farrell said Bautista is expected to miss the entire series with the Rays.@cbssportsmlb on Twitter or subscribe to the RSS feed.
