Just a half-inning after belting a three-run homer, Astros left fielder Carlos Lee was forced to leave the game after a jarring collision with shortstop Angel Sanchez in shallow left field. Lee has had X-Rays and a CT scan. X-Rays revealed no fractures in his chest or ribcage, but the CT scan results are still pending. (Alyson Footer via Twitter) He will spend the night in the hospital. Reports have Sanchez's leg hitting Lee in the mid-section and Lee laying on the ground writhing in pain for several minutes. He wasn't even able to leave under his own power, as a cart came out to get him.
Lee, 34, is off to a slow start for the Astros this season but was having a big day before the injury. There's a gaping hole in the middle of the batting order if he's gone for any length of time.
